What are the differences between Xbox 360 versions and Xbox Live versions?

I've been considering getting an Xbox 360 for a while now. I'm looking at getting the Pro or Elite versions. What are the differences between the two and which do you recommend I purchase? Also, for Xbox live memberships, what are the differences between the different subscriptions (silver, gold, etc.)?

Thanks!

  1. tjhe pro with the 20gb is geting discountino there the 60gb harddrive is replacing the pro its is new you are sure it has all new chips an eveyrthing  and its white

the elit is 120gb online the new ones made has chips like the 60gb  and its black

    thats about the differnce

and xbox live new systems comes with 3 one month trails so u dont gotta pay off the bat

xbox live gold lets u play mutiplayer with people and downloads an eveyrhting 6 bucks for month card 20 for a 3 month 50 bcuks for 12-13 months

xbox live silver is free you cant play mutiplayer all you can do is get updates for games and downlaod stuff  and the stuff must be a week old for u even be able to downlaod it

xbox live gold is well worth the money

if u gteing gold  buy halo 3 great game greta game make friends to

buy a play an charge kit  save u 5bucks month on batrrys

because those controllors suck the liveing juice   out of aa's

  2. ok i will give you prices first. elite is 449.99, pro 20gb is 299.99, pro 60gb is 349.99, and arcade is 279.99.

elite is great if you are going to store A LOT of meida such as movies,

pictures, and music.Next this is also good if you want to have like

100 demos (witch is pointless) it is black so that is popular. also the

elite is good because it comes with a hdmi cable so you dont have to

buy it seperate, this will make it easier if you want to use hdmi.

the elite comes with the 120gb hd, black headset, black wireless

controller, all the hookups along wiht hdmi, and 3 one month trials to

    x live

I have the pro 20gb and it is great for me. it is white witch i like

and it has a silver disk tray. The 20gb pro is least likely to get the red-rirings-of-death.

The pro comes with all the hookup cords ethernet cord (armound 20 ft),

and a wireless controller. this is good for gaming and music, yet it will

not hold as much, but tell me the reason to have 50 movies 50

demos, and 500songs? you can't use them all at once. 3 one

month trials to x live gold. and 20 gb hd

The pro 60gb comes with the same thing as the 20gb except for

the hd difference it will be better for holding ALOT of meida.

The arcade is pointless it comes with these arcade games

Pac-Man Championship Edition, Boom Boom Rocket,

Luxor 2, Feeding Frenzy and UNO, a 256mb memory unit and it will

be full with the games, and a wireless controller

    NOW FOR XBOX LIVE!

get pro 20-60 gb depending on how much u wanna spend

  3. I think you should get the 60 GB version because it costs alot less and you still get the same things. 100.00 more just for a 120gb hard drive? The 60 GB version has HDMI as well, and comes with a wireless controller, headset, and the other basics in the box. I bought a 20 GB premium 2 years ago (No RROD, or any other problems) and I still haven't filled the hard drive, and I got alot of themes, gamer pictures, map packs (herioc, legendary, cold storage, gears of war map packs and more) and I still have space left over. The 60GB will be plenty, and you could buy 2 new games on ebay instead of the elite. If your the guy who wants to download all the demos he sees on the marketplace, and is going to be using the up coming save game on hard drive, and putting your whole music collection on your 360, the elite might be right for you. The new 60GB actually has falcon chip set as well, and no 360 has the Jasper chip yet without mods. Jasper 360's are coming this year from microsoft.

Edit: About silver and gold memberships, I'll tell it to you straight. If you want to play online with your games (Halo 3, Gears, COD4, ect) then you need gold membership. If you just want to download stuff from the marketplace, and download updates for the 360 and your games, and not play online with your games, silver will be for you. I believe gold members can invite silver members to play custom games in Halo 3, but you cant play match making.
