  1. Square drivers by nature have a higher MOI (moment of inertia) which is the clubs resistance to twisting @ impact. All of that mumbo jumbo just means the club  will be more forgiving than a traditional shape driver. BUT with a higher degree of forgiveness, comes a slight loss of distance. I play a Nike SUMO2 5900 and I love it. I have decent length, 270-290, so for me to be in the short grass more, has lowered my scores.

  2. For me personally, I just don't like the look.  I tried a ton of drivers this spring.  All the "Newer and better" stuff.  I hate the sounds of the Sumo's  and I actually noticed nothing special about all of the Newest and greatest square heads...... I could still draw or fade whenever I wanted to.....So to me they were nothing but a gimmick.....I know of several guys that are in love with them...so I guess its a "to each his own" thing

  3. The square driver will give you a more accurate drive (so they say)

This is because I suppose it helps to pull back on a better plane, and if you miss hit the ball the club cannot twist as much through impact

  4. One driver is square and the other driver is round. ha ha. It's harder to shape a ball with a square driver, evidence is in golf magazines.

    Have a good one...
