What are the differences between moto gp, superbike, supersport, formula extreme, and supersport races ?

  1. Moto GP is to motorcycle racing what Formula One is to car racing. This is the top class of motorcycle racing. Superbike is 1000cc motorcycles that are full race bikes. Supersport is 1000cc with limited modifications. Formula Extreme is full race 600cc bikes. Superstock is 600cc with limited modifications.

  3. MotoGP : uncapped, prototype maachines. This year running 800cc.

    Superbike: Tuned up road bikes. Very tight rules. 1000cc for 4 cyl or 1200cc for twins.

    Supersport: Same is S/Bikes, yet 600cc for 4 cyl and 850 for twins.

    Formula X : Same as Superstock. Tuned up road bikes running stock componants. I.e fork and swing arms. Same cc rules as supers.
