  1. Reconnaissance survey is nothing but its a military observation of an area just to gain informations whereas,Site survey is a place where something established in particular location...


  2. In reconnaissance, you look for signs of artifacts on the surface (i.e. "surface collecting", looking for things like flint, ceramics, etc.). In site survey, you dig test pits to find artifacts underground and test the "fruitfulness" of a given unit of ground.
