  1. price, colour and marketing strategy.

on some rare cases, presuming that the manufacturer is western,  maybe, just maybe a slight differences in quality and the thickness of materials.

  2. Life-rafts and lifeboats are examples of survival craft. These are used in case your primary vessel is so UN-seaworthy that you must abandon it. Rescue boats are used to pick up, or retrieve. Rescue if you will, people who are in survival craft.

  3. Life rafts usually do not have a solid bottom, it is usually made of rope or netting.

Life boats are actually boats, some are totally enclosed with a pump & piping to spray water on to the exposed areas above the waters surface in case of a fire at sea. The enclosure also protects the survivors from the elements.

  4. life raft: emergency raft that deploys wen there r no life boats/the lifeboats did not/can't b launched

lifeboat: the original life rafts installed on the ship

rescue boat: used by the coast guard 2 rescue people at sea

survival craft; kinda like a life raft too.

  5. what are you a dumbass? If they rescue you ,are you gonna ask? I don't think so.......
