  1. Taylor is correct. They also have different engines, the t-45 having 20% less thrust.


  2. The T-45 has better low-speed handling characteristics, more robust frame, landing gear, has a catapult launcher attachment and a tailhook. the Goshawk also has two-wheel nosegear instead of the 1 wheel setup that the BAe Hawk does.

    The newest variants, the T-45Cs also have a glass cockpit and better directional and navigation equipment.

    So basically a T-45 Goshawk is a beefier BAe Hawk in terms of robust carrier-landing-resistant parts with a tailhook and a slot for a Cat. launch.

  3. The BAe Hawk is also faster with a more powerful engine.  The newer BAe Hawks have EFIS too.
