What are the differences between the English spoken in Ireland and the English spoken in the UK ?

The english spoken in Ireland is known as Hiberno-English.  There is the standard mixture of slang, but also we borrow some of our syntax from Irish.  For the most part it is almost identical, except for a few phrases.

In Irish there is no word for yes or no.  So Irish people tend to answer a question by saying the verb back, e.g.  Are you working today? I am, instead of yes.

In Irish there are two forms of you, singular and plural.  Many Irish distinguish by saying you and ye respectively.

We also you the relfexive version of pronouns as is used in Irish, i.e yourself, himself, herself, etc.

We also dont have the verb to have in irish.  This has lead Irish people using it with on or with. e.g. Do you have the money on you? I have €50 with me.

We also have countless words in the common language.

One very big difference is in cursing.  We dot it in our spoken language to such an extent we dont notice it.  Though it is not to cause offense, but rather for emphasis.

Pronunciation is very different in some parts.  One of my favourites is using Film or pictures instead of movies.  Especially since we pronounce it fil-m.

Other pronunciation differences would include the d and th and throwing r in some words that dont have r. eg. Father is pronounced farther.

The speed!!! The irish talk much quicker and getting a dub to say thirty three - makes me laugh everytime.

The Dublin working class,(of which i am one),do not pronounce the 'th',we say 'dis' & 'dat' & 'mudder' (mother),we also speak very fast.It's been said that Dubliners speak as near to Elizabethen English as you can get.
