  1. There's the Behaviorist or Skinnerian school vs. the Cognitivist or Piaget school. The first is about operant leaning or conditioning, while the second assumes pre-programmed cognition or instinct. By neuroscience (chemical and electrodal), we hope to get a better understanding of the processes going on in organism. But since animal behavior may be complicated, we break it up into those things which are acquired and those things which are innate. We can also manipulate the genome.
