  1. ionic substances have high melting and boiling points, they dissolve to form solutions that conduct electricity and they conduct electricity when molten. they have very strong chemical bonds.

    covalent bonds have strong bonds, very high melting and boiling points, dont conduct electricity even when molten,insoluble in water
