What are the differences of fluorescent light bulbs half or full spiral?

I understand there are advantages and disadvantages but found nothing on the net.

  1. I looked at them, it seams one is a full spiral, the other is only about half of that, but maybe the real thing is a wattage difference.


  2. A curly bulb puts out a dense amount of light with overlapping light bands where a bulb that is not curly tends to have more distinct shadow because the light is not coming from overlapping sources.

    Each puts out about the same lumens per watt.

  3. yes, it is their wattage difference. i know that spiral designs are made so that light emitted by the bulb can reach more diameter or distance. that is what i know but i think there are no disadvantages. maybe the disadvantage only is that it uses more energy.
