What are the different airlines that are charging for extra luggages and how much they cost?

i'm thinking of traveling but i don't want to be charged for luggauges, i was thinking maybe AA, Delta, etc.

as far as i know, (i'm leaving for a trip this weekend), you get charged an extra 25$ each way for an extra bag. i think that's the standard fee at most airlines.

from the AA website - Customers who purchased domestic economy class tickets May 12, 2008, through June 14, 2008, may check one bag for free and check a second bag for $25 each way.

from the delta website - On April 9, 2008, we announced that we would begin charging $25 for a second checked bag effective for all travel on or after May 5, 2008.

This has been changing rapidly.  You have to compare the flights that are available to and from your destination and the prices with and without the baggage charges to get the best deals.

To get the best deal check the website of each airline that you are considering using to read their policy and then add in any baggage charges for each one to see which one has the least expensive overall cost.
