I am doing work experience in my radio station and the manager has asked me what area of radio I would be intrested in here is the email.

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch.

This is the first time I have seen your email, so apologises for the slow response.

If you can tell me what you're hoping to achieve from the work experience and the specific areas of radio that interest you I will see what can be arranged.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers

Paul.

  1. Specifically, the most common areas are:

1.)  Air talent (DJ, talk show host. etc.)

A part of this might include [rogram producer, call screener, or board operator

2.) Sales, marketing and advertising (advertising sales)

3.) Promotions (kind of like the street team - these folks are out and about in the community; also responsible for contests, concerts and such)

4.) Management/operations (these folks are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the station.)

Air talent and promotions are the most common areas for work/study students and interns.

  2. He's asking what kind of job you want.  Radio stations aren't just one guy sitting behind a microphone...

  3. Advertising.

    Talk (Dj/hosts)
