  1. The movement of the crust causes many things. When oceanic crust subducts underneath continental crust, causes continental uplift and, most cases, volcanism.  When the crusts of two continents collide you will get uplift like you see in the Himalayas.  When two crusts go away from each other you get rift zones and ridges and oftentimes shield type volcanoes.
