There is only ONE kind... IT'S CALLED NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING!!!!  That goes for EVERY situation... tests, relationships and so on.

I do not know who, what, where you learn that there are different kinds of cheating. Either you are sincere and trustworthy or you are a cheater. I consider that any action done and kept purposely secret from your partner is cheating.

It is all within how the couple defines it. I know people who have gone all the way with someone else and not considered it cheating and then I know people who considers cheating if you give another person a hug... Communication is key, and as long as the couple discusses whats appropriate and define what they consider cheating is then there shouldn't be any confusion.

That depends on what YOU think cheating is.

Some consider an "emotional affair" cheating.  Like talking to someone online or being in love with a co-worker but not doing anything about it.  I don't think that's cheating but that's me.

Some think viewing p**n is cheating.  That I do not understand but whatever.

To me the only thing that can be considered cheating is actual physical contact of any kind.

Sounds like a scientific question...

let me try... cheating is to deceive... we all do it despite how holy we may want to look like... we usually dont want to acknowledge this about ourselves.

it can be a little lie or a big war crime. what cheating does is it shorten us from the flow of life, and many around us feel when there is no sincerity in us... we ourselves feel it. And when there is sincerity many can feel its power... and one can certainly feel its power...

to me, any DECEPTION or lie, implicit or explicit when it involves a relationship with another person i might call cheating.  it could be online, flirting at work, holding hands, kissing, s*x, exchanging notes or texts, talking on the phone, etc.  the key is the DECEPTION - if the person is lying about what's going on, or not telling the spouse.  the solution is more communication.
