             Well, there's a bit of a difference between guidance and counseling. counselors often tell their clients what they are doing wrong and how they need to take responsibility for their own actions. Most people get angry at their counselors. Take Dr. Laura, for example, all she does is insult her callers and she's not even a doctor of phsychology.

              Guidance, however, is much different. Because you are trying to teach your clients things they can do to better themselves rather than tearing them down . I'm not saying that counselors don't ever do that it's just that most people do not counsel correctly.
