  1. 1.  The main motor, which drives the machine;

    2.  The needle-bar and take-up lever assembly, which control the delivery of the upper thread to the next component;

      3.  The hook assembly, which carries the upper thread around the enclosed bobbin thereby forming the stitch;

      4.  The feed assembly, which moves the fabric through the machine.

      While there are many parts to a sewing machine, these are the most important as the machine would not operate without any one of them.

  2. Start at the top...the spool pin is what holds the reel of cotton.

    this lies horozintal,, the bobbin winder device is on the top,vertical, this holds the cotton reel for winding the bobbin which sits on the pin next to it. to the front of this is the stitch length dial. on the top to the left is the upper tension control,moving down the front left is the reverce sewing lever.,below this and to the left is the needleand foot, which has a s***w to remove the foot to change it for another.,in the front left is the drop down door to the lower bobbin compartment.  ont the right side of the machine, the top wheel is the hand turning wheel, below it is the patten selecting dial, to change from one stitch to another.Below this is probably the on/off switch and the machine light  switch. This is about all the main parts of an average machine.Did you not get a manual with your machine, if not, If you ring the manufacturer they may be able to send you one.
