What are the different weather conditions associated with high pressure and low pressure?

  1. In the Northern Hemisphere, High pressure areas have cold dry air and the winds rotate clockwise. Low pressure areas have warm humid air or rather, air capable of holding a lot of humidity and the winds rotate counter clockwise. In these areas, the weather is basicly as stated.  However, the real impact on weather is at the frontal barriers of these air masses.  

    High pressure air tends to flow into low pressure areas.  The difference in pressure determines the velocity of the winds and the severity of any storms.

  2. High pressure usually leads to dry weater which is very calm.

    It is very hot in the summer daytime and cold in the winter nights.

    Low pressure leads to more mild temperatures, but very rough and windy weather with rian and maybe thunderstorms.  These are cyclones because of the high pressure flows towards it in circles because of the coloris effect.
