What are the dirtiest cities in Europe?

I was surprised to hear friends that came back from Europe talking about how filthy and at times disgusting Rome was. I always thought it was a modern city! It made me wonder what the dirtiest European cities are?

I don´t know of any other city right now than Napoli in Italy. Their the carbagge is piling up on the streets. It´s already a political issue over there.

As I live in Scandinavia I can say that the cities in the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) are quite clean.

I have travelled trough Europe and have not seen that many dirty cities. Perhaps one can say that the bigger the city the dirtier it is, but that is not always true. I agree with your friends about Rome.
