India is seeing several new and upcoming malls of which we all are aware. However they do have side effects on the consumers as well as the retailers. Can you pinpoint these exact disadvantages?

  1. The cheap localites spoiling the environment, they behave like they are in their village, mistreat with others.

The local communities/politicians want to control the happening in the malls. they use malls for their vote bank.

Some couples don't have etiquettes what not to do in public.

    Smokers!!!!!!! huh.......

  2. Malls need wide open spaces. Not available in the crowded cities.

Then cities are overcrowded, and when Malls come up, there is lack of car parking space.

If a Mall builds parking space 1st and Mall on top, it is OK otherwise it causes a mess.

India does not have enough electricity.

Water is also a problem. But water consumption may not be much.

    People suffer indirectly.

As for the small time retailers. They will wake up. They may do OK with some competition. Malls may not necessarily eat up their business. As they both have different clientele.

But some may swallow them up too.

Consumers are tricked into buying what they may not want at all.

  3. there are no disadvantages at all. more and more malls are welcome.

  4. Well i dont know about the disadvantages but I can say rather its like a development kind of thing. Having big malls in a city adds stars to the city and no doubt it looks good.

  5. poeple that work there think they are effin all dat I THINK not too sure. just predicting.
