  1. Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year.

    What are the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide?

    Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

    Dihydrogen Monoxide Facts

    Dihydrogen monoxide:

        * is also known as hydric acid, and is the major component of acid rain.

        * contributes to the Greenhouse Effect.

        * may cause severe burns.

        * contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.

        * accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.

        * may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.

        * has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

    Dihydrogen Monoxide Alerts

    Contamination is reaching epidemic proportions!

    Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. In the midwest alone DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage.

    Dihydrogen Monoxide Uses

    Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

        * as an industrial solvent and coolant.

        * in nuclear power plants.

        * in the production of styrofoam.

        * as a fire retardant.

        * in many forms of cruel animal research.

        * in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.

        * as an additive in certain junk-foods and other food products.

    What is dihydrogen monixide?  Let's break the words down.

    Di = two

    Hydrogen

    Two hydrogen molecules (or H2)

    Mono = One

    Oxide

    One oxygen molecule (or O)

    Put it together?  H20, water.

  7. not everything has no disadvantages. water has some disadvantages even though it gives life to our planet.

    - conductor of electricity

    - cold sometimes

    - can cause floods

  10. water is essential for life and it is impossible to think of life system without it.water  is  called universal solvent.in human body there is lot of water but its properties become real life hurdles in some cases.

    As water evaporates at all temperatures and while exercising /sports the loss of water from human body is accelrated and the person feels exhausted and can faint.In childern suffering from diaorehea and vomitting water loss is serious and can cause  dehydration and can cause death.

    Drop of water in human wind pipe(through which one breathes) can cause choking and result in death.

    water being good solvent is easily polluted and impure water is responsible for numerous diseases  called water born disease like dysentry cholera etc

    water is stored in dams for generating hydroelectric powers but in case of dams overflowing and breakdown will play havoc with human lives/proprty.

    Water is used as a fire extinguisher but in certain cases agravates the situation like chemical fire and  may be followed by violent explosion if sodium metal happens to come in contact with it.

    In case of a dog bite person suffering from rabbies is said to fear water and will die a violent death if comes in contact with water.

    underground water which normally is persumed to be pure and drinkable due to its nature of solvant property causes  various diseases due to dissolved florides and is responsible for dental decay and deformation of bones.

    shortage of water or excess of it in human body is both harmful.same is in nature if there is no water, no farming ,no plant or vegetation and no human life.if excess of rains than floods.loss of vegetation,life and soil erosion,(washing away of fertile soil surface).
