  3. disadvantage argues that the world has seen a wave of democratization which has now subsided as democracy all oveer the world is in a stage of consolidation. Now is a critical time to support democracy to avoid backsliding into global auithoritarianism. When the affirmative deals with and satisfies (such as lifting sanctions) a non-cemocratic nsatiuon, the USA sends a sterong signal that democracy is not that important and the world slides back towards authoritarianmism.

Capitalism that allow people and the economic system to acquire profit through investment of capital and employment of labor. Corruption is also a major issue of an unstable government. Other benefits to communism in regard to this aspect also include cheap housing, children day care, public transportation and recreation.

Communism assumes that humans do not have this primal instinct for survival, which, to paraphrase a line from Moo_Cow, is a bullshit mentality at its best and an insanely delusional one at its worst. Communism assumes that humans will not fight for resources, that the strong will not mind watching their strength be leeched off of by those unable or unwilling to produce for their family. Communism encourages laziness and does absolutely nothing to ecnourage productivity, because, there is no incentive to work

  5. Can be lost

    Can be corrupted

    Can be manipulated

    Can be eroded by ignorance

    Can be unfair

But nothing is better -- do you remember having a democracy?

  6. To begin with our nation is not a democracy. It is a republic- in a republic, the voters elect people to represent them in government. In a democracy the people vote on everything that concerns them themselves. I will give you the five disadvantages of our current form of government.

1- we elect the people to represent us as voters and the people we elect, in turn, represent the money that got them elected-your vote does not count for anything under this system

2- we only have two political parties to choose from-one party is ultra liberal and doesn't represent the majority, and the other party is ultra elite and doesn't represent anyone but large corporations and the rich

3- no one represents the middle working class under our system

4- in our system money is power and no one has more power then then the global corporations that run our country. Big business runs the US-no one can deny that fact

5- trade laws and wars are passed and fought for the enrichment of big business.

There is but two things that will give us a chance for the people to take back control of our country- a third political party, or a revolt. We are a nation of very dumb sheep.

  7. Often unstable (see Italy)

    Slow moving

    Indecisive

    Constantly changing form

    Unpredictable

Democratically elected politicians are often tempted to appeal to the baser instincts of people to get voted.
