    The first place to look for country-specific information is the CIA Factbook for the country:

    This will tell you that:

    - the mean (per capita) GDP is about $3400. (1 Philippine peso = 0.022262 U.S. dollars)

    - the top 10% of households get 31.2% of the total take

    - the bottom 10% get 2.4% of the total take

    - 30% of the population are below the poverty line

    - and that the gini index is 45.8 (which makes the wealth very unevenly distributed)
