  1. Both of these studies can be divided up into subfield after subfield, but there are some main ones to consider.

    For sociology this includes (but is not limited to):

    Applied sociology-this is the intervention into society using socialogical knowledge (social workers)

    Criminology

    Ethnic studies

    Medical sociology

    Educational sociology

    Political sociology

    Religious sociology

    etc.

    Anthropology can be broken down into 4 main subfields, which are then broken down into further subfields.

    Cultural anthropology-the study of human culture in all its forms and aspects

    Physical anthropology-the study of humans physically, this usually includes evolutionary processes (both small and large scale), but also includes fields like forensics

    Linquistics-the study of human languages

    Archaeology-the study of past cultures.
