Hello there people, I just wanted to check the old drinking laws and the age of entry into big clubs in Ibiza before deciding to go again. You see a group of us went out there last year and it was Quality!!, I`m thinking about going out there with a group of mates again. The Only thing is that me mate said that the Drinking laws and how they are in forced have gotten stricter. We Were 16 when we went out there last and this year i am 17. Last year we got into eden, privilege and various other big clubs. Just abit worried that we might not get in this time which could put a downer on the holiday

  1. Drinking rules/ law in Ibiza

The legal limit for buying alcohol in shops, bars or clubs is 18.

There is some leniency towards under 18's drinking in restaurants with supervision

Same as the UK- if you're seen to be 'drunk and disorderly' you can be arrested and likely fined

Drinking on the street is technically illegal(Taking you're own drink into clubs is probably not worth the risk of being caught!)

  2. There is no age limit everybody PARTY WOOOOOOT

  3. The laws have not changed. To drink and enter clubs where alcohol is served you must be 18. If a club lets you get in, then it can be fined. When police is known to control the clubs, then the clubs are more strict and would control your age before letting you in.

  4. i first went to ibiza when i was 14 and got served for anything and let into all the clubs if u act old enough b4 u get into the main clubs in san antonio u shud b fine some are more strict than others but theres always some other club u can go to. have a great time!!!

  5. The legal age-limit to buy alcohol is now 18, tobacco is 16

Officially you have to be 18 to get into the clubs.

It is illegal to drink alcohol walking on the streets.

    Possession of drugs:

The situation in Spain is a confused one. Although in 1992 a law has strictly regulated the use of drugs in public places (no smoking spliffs on the beach), it is not considered a crime, and therefore there can be no jail sentences. In Spain personal possession of any drug is not a criminal offence. However, read the following extract from The Ibiza Sun:

'One British youth was sentenced this week to 3 years imprisonment and heavily fined after being caught with 6 ecstasy tablets and 20.000 Pts in cash' (October 2000)

The line between 'personal' and 'dealing' is a very thin one. Be sensible.

Needless to say it is not only very stupid, but also ILLEGAL TO DRINK AND DRIVE. The penalties are severe, and the accidents in summer are horrendous!
