  1. Mysticetes, although they eat animals, are essentially the equivalent of grazing herbivores - gathering in large quantities of non-resisting food stuffs.

    Odontocetes tend to be more active predators.  Most of them (with the exception of the Cachalot) are smaller than Mysticetes.  They tend to be more clever, hunt in packs, and using chasing and herding behaviour to capture their food.
