What are the effects of not recycling Paper or plastic?

By not recycling you are adding tons of paper to the landfill. Plastic takes forever to breakdown so your children will be able to find the plastic bag you threw away today. Landfills are filling at an alarming rate and the less we put in them the better.

Why do you need sources?  It is nothing but common sense, bottom line not recycling fills up landfills faster and wastes resources.  Also recycling tends to be more energy efficient than producing from raw virgin materials.
