What are the effects of pollution on the habitat in the moutain region?

I am making a food web on the moutian region and now I need to answer this question

  1. pollution, especially atmospheric pollution, has a way of making it up into higher altitude mountainous regions....many pollutants bioaccumulate or biomagnify which carries up the food web...

    for example say an insect has high levels of lead in its tissues from pollution it will be eaten by a frog that now gets the same pollution...then the frog by a bird, then the bird by a mammal then to humans....that is bioaccumulation and how the pollutant travels to higher trophic levels

    Say that frog ate 4 insects, and the bird ate 2 frogs, and the mammal ate 3 birds and the human ate 4 mammals....that pollutant is now 96x  more magnified because it kept multiplying through each step......this is the kind of pollution hazards that can easily be shown on a food web and habitats
