  1. Eventual anarchy and dictatorship.

  2. non functioning administration

  3. You can see the effect in our stagnant two-party system.

  4. Fewer people have faith in the system; therefore, fewer people choose to vote.  The government is chosen by a smaller amount of people, who may or may not have the nation's best interests in mind.  An intellectual aristocracy chooses government; therefore, government ceases to be a true democracy.

  5. who cares

  6. George W. Bush

  7. Not many people vote and a minority party may get in as a minority may feel very strongly about their cause.

  8. Death of a nation

  9. Better than the effects of voter ignorance.  Since the American populace buys party stereotypes whole heartedly, the democratic party can do what it want and still be champions of the common person.

  10. Causes of voter apathy:

Lack of information on various political parties or independent candidates.

Boring, mundane media coverage of the political campaigning.

Many other more interesting distractions like rock concerts, arts/music events. EXAMS!!!

Too young to vote so can't be bothered keeping up with politics.

Unfair deadline for young first time voters where you get a tiny amount of time to register for voting before the election date is announced.

    Results of voter apathy:

The wrong/worst/unaccountable/irresponsible political party will come to power.

The needs of the majority of people who are the most disadvantaged (usually the ones who didn't vote) are not met by the newly elected party.

Ignorance remains on how the political system works and how the power of voting can bring about postive changes socially, economically and environmentally.

  11. Lowered empathy.
