Specifically, what are some emissions that are produced by automobiles that harm the ozone layer? Even if you're not sure, and you think it's right, just tell me.

  1. NONE==CONGRESS HAS ORDERED THE  E.P.A. LAST YEAR TO RUN EXPERIMENTS ON EXHAUST, CO2, CARBONS, GREENHOUSES GASES ETC. AND REPORT THEIR FINDINGS, BUT THEY CANT, BECAUSE  EVERYTHING DECIPATES IN THE THIN AIR. NOTHING FROM ANYTHING MAN MADE IS ABLE TO GET ANY WHERE NEAR THE OZONE.

  2. it is believed it is carbon monoxide

  3. Chlorofluorocarbons or CFCs.

Pao is correct that CO indirectly reduces the ozone layer. This is because the hydroxyl ion reacts with both CFCs and CO and remove these chemicals from the atmosphere. Therefore, the more CO in the atmosphere the slower CFCs will undergo this reaction to be removed.

Cars do not produce CFCs unless it has an air conditioner that uses freon. The actual combustion engine does not produce CFCs.
