What are the engine timings for a Nissan Serena diesel engine 2.0 CD Turbo 1995?

  1. Amendment to first post
    On front belt pick a tooth, mark the tooth with tipec in a straight line( make sure you mark above the raise section of the tooth) now count 43 teeth to the right and mark the 43rd tooth with tipecs(as in first tooth).  Set engine to TDC by aligning crank pully with timing mak on top right of the crank pully( at approx 1 o'clock as you look at it infront of you)  Fit belt by aligning first mark with crank sprocket mark(dot on outer face of crank sprocket, now fit belt in anti-clockwise direction so that the second mark aligns with the mark on the cam sprocket( this is a notch in the back outer rim of the pully like a V), making sure the belt is tought.  Once belt is fitted slacken off tensioner and hand turn engine 2 revolutions in normal direction(clockwise) the tighten tensioner.
