What are the essential vegetables &fruits that i've 2 eat?for a hard working guy?

i've been working really hard &i do exercises alot...i've decided 2 follow a healthy system,...but i need help...what are the vegetables i need...&the fruits 2?what is really essential for a man??

  1. Well, any fruit and vegetable will do, just make sure to get a good variety. Eating one or two all the time is good in the sense that you get some vitamins and minerals from the vegetables, but you're not getting the wide range of minerals and nutrients that your body needs. Also, preparation of fruits and vegetables is something that affects how well they retain their healthiness. Boiling them will cause the nutrients to seep out, and the fruit or veggie then loses it's key nutrients, making it effectively useless. This is much more an issue with veggies, as fruit is most often eaten raw. The best way to prepare vegetables so as to avoid this is to steam them or stir fry them in a healthy oil, such as olive or canola. Also, if you eat meat, a good healthy meat to eat is turkey or buffalo, as they are both lean and can be prepared in many ways. If you don't eat meat, eat nuts and beans, as they provide just as much protein as meats do. And also, eat what you like, experiment, find a healthy food that tastes good to you. There's no pointing in suffering through a diet if you can't enjoy what you eat, that's all the more reason to cheat.
