    Reproductions do away with any ethical concerns, unfortunately they're not cheap.

Depends if you think it is right to collect bones.  Would you mind if someone collected your bones someday?  What about your parents or a maybe a child?  We do indeed learn valuable information from ancient bones but does it violate the sanctity of life after death?  Those are questions left up to individuals and societal values.
