my 6-year-old has asked why there isn't a president over all the countries to help decide how to solve things so there wouldn't be wars.  he's asked who invents the words that end up in the dictionary.  he's asked what infinity minus one is.  

he asks those kinds of questions all the time, along with the (for me, equally stumping) questions like what is the lifespan of an ant....
