What are the example of capital goods, conumer goods, consumer durables?

Capital Goods are any material that adds to the asset (capital) of an enterprise. Examples are - machinery and equipment, utitlities like power generators/effluent treatmnet plants/service euipment, office equipment like computers/furniture. These can be used for their usable life to produce the product or services of the enterprise and increase the value.

Consumer goods are those which have low life span, used by the buyer for single or limited usage but does not produce any other product or service. Examples are - food and beverages, vegetables & cereals, video games, recorded CDs & DVDs, sports goods and the like.

Consumer Durables are those  consumer goods which have longer life span but do not produce any other product or service (just like a consumer goods). They however, may have some re-sale value. Examples are - cars, refrigerators, TVs and such like.
