  1. creatine is a product used by bodybuilders. Are you taking supplements? They might contain this.

  2. Are you in extreme chronic pain it did it to me that is why i mention it.

  3. creatinine is the end product of muscle break down....it can go up if you have renal failure...have u noticed any other symptoms such as reduced or no urine production?? or any other changes in urine such as colour?

it changes usually if your muscle mass changes! have u been putting on some more muscle lately?? also, muscle breakdown can go up if u sart exercising more, have u been working out more lately?? if not, it could be if uve been eating heaps of meat which could also increase creatinine in the blood

if u havent noticed any other changes with urine then i wouldnt worry too much unless it goes ridiculously high

    hope that helps =D

p.s. ignore the person above..hes talking about creatine not creatinine they are two different things

  4. As Indianrulz said, creatinine is the byproduct from muscle breakdown. However, the muscle breakdown does not have to necessarily be from your own muscles, unless you are on a calorie restricted diet or have been starving yourself for more than a day.

Working out or doing some physical activity like sports will also increase creatinine levels in the blood because there is some small breakdown of muscle cells when doing such activities. Nothing drastic that would endanger anyone though.

You can have high creatinine levels in your blood is by eating a lot of meat. Animal meat is muscle, and creatinine is also a byproduct as you digest it.

Not to freak you out or anything, but a heart attack will also increase your creatinine levels in the blood as the heart muscles break down as they die off.

If you have a lab report of your urine test, there ought to be a reference range to indicate whether it is high, low, or normal.

If there was something wrong with you, whoever examined your urine and your lab report would have notified you. It is a pretty rare chance your kidneys might be failing. You'd be having things like different color urine other than yellow, seizures, or some of the other things Indianrulz had mentioned.

Being overweight really has nothing to do with it. But hey, since you recognize that you are overweight, it never hurts to try and lose weight if you really want to.

  5. creatinine could increase if you are a body builder who takes a lot of protein pills, or you exercise before the urine test or you have taking some medication that could cause an increment in creatinine or worse, you have a slight renal impairment. overweight and hypertension always come hand in hand. Check whether you have hypertension. do your urine test frequently to check if your creatinine levels have gone down.
