It is altitude? Earth's rotation? Air pressure?

  1. Air movement in the atmosphere results from various forces...which include.../pressure gradient /Coriolis/ /friction/centrifugal/gravity/. These combine to produce a complex system of moving air in the atmosphere.

  2. In atmosphere, heat, convection.

In small environments, could be a blower or a fan

  3. Hmm, well the main cause would be the uneven distribution of heat on Earth.

Since hot air rises and cold air sinks, and the sun never distributes heat completely evenly on Earth, the hot air that is constantly rising needs to be replaced by the cooler air that sinks.  This causes a general pattern of air movement on Earth, which in part causes the trade winds.

However, it can be more complicated than that.  Mountains can block winds.  The Earth's rotation also contributes to an extent.

That's about the extent of my knowledge... hope it helps.
