  1. chemistry, magnetism and the vibration of life...

  2. First I would like to refer to the basic needs of the human

    Food

    Clothing

    Shelter

    Social interaction

Over time each need is developed and modified to fit a human specification. All of the things you are using as examples i.e fear, hope, misunderstanding are part of basic human survival and self preservation.

Without emotions or displays of such we would be a world of destructive killing machines with zero empathy.

  3. Poverty, hopelessness, grief, hatred. Life would be intolerable if we had no hope for a better life after death. Gods were more prevalent in life centuries ago because of the quality of life was much less back then. Nowadays we are so distracted by everything. We are a generation of comfort, ease, and convenience. Those werent options in life centuries ago. You were born, you lived, you worked hard, and you died. The only thing that made a difference was money. Now we have so many choices, distraction, and abilities to get what we want outta life, no matter if it is good for us or not. Without something to believe in, we are stale, and some people do not have it in them to believe in themselves, so an idol is created to breed hope.

  4. I think humans are afraid. They're afraid that they are the only one who is in control of an unpredictable life. They like to believe that someone above them is higher, someone who's in control of everything. Someone to thank to in times of happiness, and someone to blame in times of trouble and sadness. It also gives them comfort, that they have friend or a guardian when nobody is around. Also, it's the same in the after life. They are afraid that death is the end of everything, that all that they worked for goes to nothing.

  5. I think that false gods are not created- they are imagined, and are driven by either fear or wishfull thinking. There is One True God who does all of the creating, his creating is driven by His Love!

  6. Love and fear. The rest are all related to those two, and are based on nurture. (not nature)  The garbage you collect as baggage over the years.

    Peace.

  7. Well Russ I believe it was fear, fear of the first man from natural powers like the wind and fear of our mortality (inventing the after life cncept and the rewards that await us).

as mankind evolved so did the concept of God, you can say the concept itself was tailor made to suite certain mentality and circumstances.

  8. I don't think God was created by us.

But we created ways to relate to Him. At first, the concept of religion may have been good. But over the years, man has complicated it.

It seems like a way to control people. Fight wars in His name. It's hard for me to understand why God would condone a war, but history is full of examples.

  9. The question contains very deep thoughts. When some one die and if you go with dead body, then fear arises. This is due to the fact that someone feels that one day we have to go the same way. The second fear we know that death has no solution or medicine by which one can feel free without death.According to the history of science, death would occur at particular time and place. These two factors imply that there is some hidden power Who control our life by which we are not free from death. This creats fear about hidden power that is God. There are many examples in India that person like Lord Mahavira etc became Sage(Hermite) after looking death body of a person and He left His Kingdom facilities(as He was King) and he was older than Lord Buddha but in the same time and period. Thanks to the questioner for an interesting question.

  10. Are you asking what creates God in some abstract, beyond God concept? Like what makes God? Or are you asking what human attributes work to create the idea of God? This question not very clear.

Anyhow, humans create Gods for things unknown.

  11. No one, despite all the supposition, really knows.  Maybe our ancient ancestors knew something modern man has long forgotten.
