    Gazpacho

  3. I believe penny century understood the question best.  *S*  There's also an Indonesian soup she missed: Soto Ayam.  It;s a soup that include potato chips.

    There is a recipie for it in Corrinne Trang's book "The Essentials of Asian Cuisine" which I have read several times, thank to the Belleville Public  Library having it.

    there's cocido (beef) shank

    albondigas (beef,pork,lamb,.....) meatball

    pollo (chicken)

    menudo (tripe & feet-beef w/ pigs feet ) spicey

    pozole ( mostly-pork ) this soup is made (traditionally ) with the back-bone and other discards , after the pig has been trimmed,and cut for other uses,(its a peasant soup) also spicey.

    also many shapes of pasta's in tomatoey base called sopas

  8. All soups are made with a stock. Depending on area of the world, the stock varies. Chicken stock, beef stock, lamb, vegetable. Anything you can boil becomes soup. All cultures have a variety of ingrediants to add to this hot liquid.

I think any kind of soup with chicken is famous.  In Puerto Rico, we like to cook chicken noodle soup as well as chicken rice soup.  My husband is from Mexico and his family loves chicken soup which is loaded with potatoes, carrots, cabbage, pumpkins, chayote (a type of squash).  You can also boil chicken and add mole paste to it Mmmmmmm!
