  5. For most tennis racquets you only need one long piece (typically 40 feet or 12.2 meters will do). However, some manufacturers require two pieces of string for certain frames. Head and Prince frames are notorious for requiring two-piece stringing on frames where the crosses end in the throat. If these racquets warp or break under one-piece stringing the manufacturer will void the warranty.
