What are the financial, social, physical etc. benefits of road safety to our society?

Of road safety......hmmm

1. Financial- Well, it's obvious, you get in a car accident, it costs you money, if it's your fault, it will cost you even MORE money.  Cost money when you get a ticket for speeding, dui will land you in jail....AND take your money...so overall i'd say road safety would be a GREAT financial benefit.

2.  Social, well that's just common courtesy, if someone cuts you off well that can ruin your day, and you could go postal and kill somone, or get in an accident and then it will cost you money.  Road rage has cost some lives. I have witnessed a guy get his butt royally tore down after he cut someone off and stopped a red light, where the other guy just got out and just proceeded to whoop his tail.  So on a social note if you maintain road safety people won't try n destroy you.

3.  Physical benefits would probably be simliar to 1 and 2....car accidents cause physical problems, like back problems, loss of limbs, head trauma, and then phyiscal therapy or your death in general can cause money loss and pain n suffering, and all kinds of stuff.
