I can't remember the places that were first and last to change time/date. I know it was popular during new years eve 2000. They kept showing the people in one country in the "new year" while the rest of the world waited

Thanks

  1. New Zealnds East Cape is first to see the new day. One hour ahead of Samoa , and four ahead of Honolulu.

Thirteen hours ahead of West africa (Azores)

  2. Well, according to the Chart, Honolulu is the first major city to change into the next day or hour. But The city of Apia, Samoa

is most likely the farthest city West (when looking at a timezone map). The farthest East timezone is -12 hours.

And according to the chart, Kiritimati, Christmas Islands, Kiribati is the last major city to change in to the next day or hour. But the Tinga Islands would be the most likely farthest city East (when looking at a map). The farthest timezone west is +12 hours.
