  1. Much of it is Pollock from Alaska

  2. Long John Silvers used to use shark. I dont know  if they still do.

  3. It varies by chain and restaurant location.  Generally, it is whatever fish is cheapest in that region.  Cod is a pretty common one, flounder as well.

The main difference, and what Wendy's is really advertising, is wether the fish is one cut off a single animal, or is formed and pressed from the leftovers from several individual fish.  Most fast food places use the leftovers method, because it is much much cheaper.  In reality, you won't be able to taste any differene between Wendy's and any other fast food fish, it's all the same once it's deep fried.

  4. Chinese pollock looks and tastes like cod but is much less expensive.  True cod is 3.45/lb.  No way are the fast foods using 100% cod.  Pollock is around 2.00/lb

  5. Its mostly cod or other fish that get caught in the net.  The fish is all processed through machinery....deboned, grinded together and then molded into a pasty, fishy patty resembling a fish filet.

  6. Cod.
