* Supercomputers- are the most powerful computers in terms of data processing and performance

* Minicomputer- used to accomplish certain tasks and also called midrange computers

* Professional workstations- used to perform specific tasks and can be used by graphic designers, scientists, architects and financial analysts.

* Microcomputers- are the most commonly used and the fastest-growing types of computers.
