What are the flying rules for UK to Canada flights?

Can I take my iPod for example? This is the main one I'm needing to know. I just read that there are strict rules for UK to US (no liquids, ipod, laptop etc) so I'm wondering what the rules are for UK --> Canada.

The restrictions are the same.

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in 100ml (3oz) or less containers.

Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are NOT allowed in carry-on luggage.

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, 1 liter (1 quart) size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Larger bags or bags that are not zip-top are not allowed.

Each traveler can use only ONE, 1 liter (1 quart), zip-top, clear plastic bag.

Each traveler must remove their 1 liter (1 quart) sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening.

There are exceptions for baby formula, breast milk, and other essential liquids, gels, and aerosols, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines.

Ipods are perfectly fine, security may ask you to turn it on to show them it is real.  But yes it is allowed.  So are laptops,.  Remember you can always double check when you are checking your luggage so if it isn't allowed you can toss it in there before you go through security.

No liquids gels etc.  UNLESS they are in individual bottles of 3 oz or less and all bottles MUST fit into 1 one litre (or a quart) sized clear ziplock bag. (that is for carry-on. for checked luggage you can bring anything you want)
