  1. Las Ramblas has nothing to do with history! It is just a shopping Mile with expensive shops and restaurants, but every tourust is expected to go there.

What is real history in Barcelona, because lets face it, without Gaudi and his works and the 92 Olympics, Barcelona would just be some Port City.

Do the Piccaso Museum, Parc Guell, the beaches at Barcelonetta, and the districts of Barri Gotic and the Cathedral. La Sagrada Familia is as well interesting, they say it will be finished in 2020, but it keeps tourists coming in more if they never finish it.

  2. Explore the old town and the ramblas.

    Sagrada familia.

the maritime museum and the sea front Maremagnum to Barceloneta.

Walk up Paseo de Gracia and down Rambla de Catalunya (shopping & Gaudi buildings).

  3. If you go to Barcelona you have to expierence Can Paixano!

So much fun!!!  Great cava and tapas!

  4. La Sagrada Familia

    Las Ramblas

    Parque Guell

Barri Gotic (home of the cathedral, lots of old interesting buildings and streets)

  5. Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club.
