What are the gender and cultural implications of Hinduism?

I'm still not exactly sure what gender or cultural implications. Can someone clarify that for me, too? Thanks. :)

  2. It would have to be female. That is why a groom pays the parents for the wife and why the parents choose the groom as to protect the bride. This is where it becomes a two sided sword, the female is considered special and has to be protected but then she ends up with not much rights because she is being protected. You could write whole books on the rest of the question. Religion creates the words and the words creates the way that one thinks.
