What are the general eligibility requirements for food stamps and c.s.m.p (i think thats' right) or med-ical?

In california....don't get me wrong I'm not being a bum. I work full time and I go to school but I'm having trouble making ends meet. What are the salary requirents and such for these things? I don't want to go down and sign up and be told I make way too much or something and feel like an A hole. Thank you.

http://www.fns.usda.gov/fsp/  you can go to this link to check if you may be eligible for food stamps.  I'm not sure about the rest.

If you don't qualify for food stamps but come close, it's still worth the effort to apply because then you can get reduced rates for your electricity and possibly may qualify for help with fuel assistance in the winter, etc.
