What are the general rules when designing a presentation to teach English using the power point application?

Use colors that make it easy to read.

Give plenty of examples of whatever points you are trying to teach.

I'm not sure powerpoint is the best way to teach English. You could use it for part of the class, but also give the students are chance to practice what you are teaching - some conversation or writing, for example.
