  3. Some of the first classes you take are usually a Child Development 101 type of class which you learn about children from infants on up- the development stages they go thru. Then you usually have a hands on course which you actually work with an on campus preschool and do a lot of observing and writing. CPR and first aid class. You also take a family relationships and community class. Those are the main ones to get you started. Then you can pick and choose according to which age group you may be working with. Infant-Toddler class, preschool, school age, you may take a Children's type of Literature course. Then of course there are a boatload of other fun courses you can take along the way.

    Child Development Major- Elementary Education major and Psychology Major with Minor in Literature
