The bad concequences of disposing cardboard are: It doesn't decompose very fast, other animals can eat it and it can make them sick, if it's not recycled and it's dumped in a regular trash dump then if that trash gets dumped in rivers, streams, or lakes it can harm the fish in there. Also if it's put in a regular trash dump it can get wet and pieces of it can float away from water rising even a couple centemeters above the ground and that goes onto streets and causes the roads to be more slippery. Pretty much the only good thing about disposing cardboard instead of recycling it is it gives homeless people a home if they possibly can't find one.
